We’re thrilled to share that Emm has secured over $9 million (£6.8 million) in an oversubscribed funding round – a major step in our journey towards launching the world’s first smart menstrual solution.
Led by world-class investors including Lunar Ventures; with additional participation from The Labcorp Venture Fund, Tiny VC, BlueLion Global, Alumni Ventures (investors in Oura & Levels), and an incredible group of angel pioneers such as Amar Shah (Wayve), Vivek Garipalli (Clover Health and Wormhole Capital), and Harpreet Rai (former Oura CEO), this investment marks a defining moment for our community and our mission to transform women's menstrual care.
We’ll use this funding to put our product in consumers' hands in 2026 and continue building technology that equips people to understand their cycles, and their bodies, on their terms.
What we’re building
Our founder and CEO, Jenny Button, started Emm because she knew first-hand that the tools we routinely use to track key health metrics – like sleep, fitness and diet – simply didn’t exist for menstrual care. And as a result, reproductive health conditions go under-reported, under-diagnosed and untreated. She envisioned a future in which menstrual health is measured and understood as comprehensively as cardiovascular or metabolic health.
Our team of engineers, designers, researchers and clinical experts share the same goal: to offer objective insights into menstrual health and our bodies, with complete autonomy.
We’re creating a new category in biowearables: smart menstrual care. Our system comprises:
1. A discreet, comfortable menstrual cup made of medical-grade silicone, embedded with ultra-thin advanced sensor technology.
2. A connected mobile app that builds your personal menstrual baseline – tracking flow volume, duration, and regularity, and converting it all into actionable insights.
3. A privacy-first approach, giving you access to your own data and control over your health narrative.
Why this matters
Funding in women’s health has been limited for decades. Menstrual health affects roughly half the world’s population, yet it remains chronically underfunded, under-researched, and overlooked by mainstream tech and medical industries.
So this funding isn’t just about bringing our product to market – it’s about building a new standard for women’s health, where lived experience, scientific rigour and technology finally meet.
What’s next and how to get involved
We’re targeting a UK consumer launch in early 2026, with international expansion to follow. Join the waitlist on our website to be first in line as we roll out updates.
We believe that everyone should have access to the insights they need to advocate for their own health. That understanding your menstrual cycle should be as natural and reliable as checking your heart rate. That what happens once a month deserves as much attention as what happens every day.
And our message is simple: Your menstrual health matters. Your data matters. Your story matters.
Thank you to our investors, advisors, team and most importantly – to you, our community, for joining us on this journey.
We’ll keep pushing, learning and building, because the world is ready for smarter, better, more personalised menstrual care – and we’re proud to lead the way.
